Rioters (1929)

The Trustees & the President of Des Moines University had to blame somebody for the riots. Six students were expelled. Five of them are pictured below.

Five out of the six are show here from left to right: Dodd Theile, who testified against Dr. Shields and Miss Rebman, Robert Crawford, president of the senior class, who also testified; Edith King, senior who led the attack on Miss Rebman's morals; Chet Erikson, who testified against Dr. Shields, and K Cedric Peterson, president of the student council who addressed a mass meeting before the riot.
